We are a family-owned business, founded in 1989 by siblings Mark, Penny, and Guy Rendle. Like so many Kiwi businesses, we started BA Pumps & Sprayers, formerly known as Bertolini Australasia, out of the belief that we could design and build a better product.
Our approach to business is built around the simple premise that combining good old-fashioned Kiwi ingenuity, with the world’s best components and technology, backed up by nationwide support and service will always be a winning formula.
With a combined experience in excess of 125 years rooted in the agricultural sector, our sales and service team prides itself on delivering the best advice, solutions, and product support nationwide.
Working as a distributor for Bertolini Pumps the Rendle siblings had noticed an increasing need for high-quality sprayers and pumps for the local agricultural, horticultural, and industrial markets and were determined to do something about it.
The Australian business began trading from its facility in Geelong, VIC. The site is home to operations, sales, and customer services.
In 2010 we became the official Australian and New Zealand distributor of defoliating, vine trimming, and pre-pruning equipment from the world-leading brand, Collard.
After outgrowing a number of premises across Hamilton, it was time to move to a custom-built facility just outside of Cambridge, with offices, board room, fab shop, warehouse and assembly area.
Over the years we’ve added a number of other items to our range, including distribution rights for Collard, so it was time to have our own name to encompass everything we do whilst not losing our connection to the Bertolini brand.
The most revolutionary spray technology to enter the Australasian market arrives with the addition of the BA Smart Sprayer powered by Smart-Apply.
We added the TSX 400 trailed sprayer to our range to give our customers more flexibility, and for use on the toughest of terrain.
Our new stainless steel hose reels are strong, corrosion-resistant, and easy to use, setting a new quality benchmark in hose reels.
Our newest Linkage Sprayer, the LM Series and M Boom, is launched at Southern Field Days. This product is different from any sprayer we have developed before and includes patent-pending features that aren’t available anywhere else.
